NATALIE HIGGINS, LCMHCS, LCAS, CCS
While I believe we are all unique individuals, I also believe we all have many similarities. Like most people, I have experienced challenges in my life and I’ve had to ask for help. My greatest achievement is assisting my clients in discovering ways to transform their lives so they have the capacity to look forward to the future with hope. I firmly believe we all need someone to talk to who will listen and accept us without judgment.
I am known for being relatable to my clients and taking a positive non-judgmental approach. Others who know me or have worked with me will tell you I am honest, direct and have a great sense of humor. I genuinely feel that when it’s appropriate, laughter helps the soul deeply heal. In addition, I feel there is significant value in a strong therapeutic relationship. I will do my best to help you gather the tools you need to be successful long after our time together.
I received my Master’s Degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (S9019), Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (3465) and Certified Clinical Supervisor (20291). My experience in the field of counseling ranges from working with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings including: residential/group home, school based, community outpatient, and opioid treatment. My specialities include working with adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety, anger and substance use issues.
I currently offer Individual Therapy. If I notice a specific need and have enough participants, I plan to offer Group Therapy as well. In addition to my clinical credentials, I am available to provide individual and group supervision to LPCAs and LCASAs.
